Alaska airlines

Most visitors to Alaska arrive by air. Plus, it’s how most of us who live here get around. There are more than 140 state-operated airports in Alaska. That includes many modern jet terminals like those found inn Fairbanks and Anchorage. But it also includes many gravel strips, some of which lack any "terminal building" at all.

Alaska Airlines operates the biggest air travel network in Alaska. The carrier serves 19 destinations in the state, from Prudhoe Bay to Ketchikan to Adak. Only three of those destinations are connected to the road system: Anchorage, Fairbanks and Prudhoe Bay.
